About the Festival
6th edition of Pitchfork Music Festival Paris commences on the 27th, 28th and 29th of October 2016 at Grande Halle de La Villette. The three-day music festival has an impressive lineup including M.I.A, Chet Faker, Explosions in the Sky, Bat For Lashes, DJ Shadow, Warpaint, Moderat, Mount Kimbie, Todd Terje, Parquet Courts and more.
In addition to the main festival, Pitchfork Music Festival Paris will set up an opening block party around Bastille (11th arrondissement) on October 25 and 26. Pitchfork Avant-grade will showcase 42 acts hosted in 7 venues: Café de la Danse, Badaboum, Pop Up du Label, La Loge, Café de la Presse, Supersonic and La Mécanique Ondulatoire.
Pitchfork Music Festival 2016 has three main categories :
Main Event 27, 28 and 29 October Grande Halle de La Villette
Pitchfork Avant-grade 25 and 26 October 7 different venues
After parties 27 and 28 October Trabendo (five-minute walk from La Grande Halle)
Grande Halle de La Villette, an impressive iron and glass structure, stands at the entrance to the Villette Park and supports Paris’ cultural scene, offering excellent concerts of all genres imaginable, dramatic shows and music festivals as well as an open-air cinema organized in the summer, and exhibitions of modern artists.
